Go Outside: Giant Redwoods, Beaches and a 3,000 mile road trip

I drew a thing, scroll down for the time lapse video and footage of the trip. I took the family thousand mile road trip! We saw Seattle Portland the Avenue of the Giants Central Coast, Los Angeles, and back. Below that, I’ve got a bunch of photos of the redwoods and the coast.

Whenever I can, I try and shoot my own reference. This isn’t possible all the time, but I’m always on the lookout for fun little details in nature.









Did you know that you can buy resin-encased insects? They’re awesome and A LOT better than internet photos for reference.
My family is weird, it’s awesome.
My wife calls this “whailing.” The kids joined her in who can breach the best in the waves and now our 3 year old gives compliments like, “Mom, you look like a whale.”
A lot of time in the car. I drove through the night a few times because it’s easier when everyone is unconscious.
